During a special conversation with ‘Aj Tak’, Minister of Agriculture Shivraj Singh Singh Chauhan spoke about many important issues regarding Operation Sindur, the heroic and the welfare of the peasantry. Chauhan assured that agricultural production in the country is completely safe. He said the grain reserves are full and the growth rate of agriculture is about 5%. “The prime minister’s goal is to develop developed India. It is necessary for the growing agriculture and prosperous farmers. The Ministry of Agriculture is working in the same direction.”

India has set a record in wheat and paddy and now focuses on pulses and oil seeds, the Agriculture Minister said. For this, genetic technology and new techniques are developed. The agriculture sector for India, which was created by 2047, will contribute to a trillion dollars.
