Google is bringing Gemini to chrome so it can answer questions about your open tabs

Google’s Chrome Browser is the latest main product to get its own built -in Gemini properties. Today At Google I/O.The company explained its plans to bring its AI assistant to Chrome.

Although Gemini is already distilled information from the websites, it allows the assistant to provide insights into the chrome and to answer the questions about your open tabs without going to a different window or application. Instead, Gemini lives on the top of your browser window and in a new menu in the taskbar.

The company has stated that it can help with the need to switch between many open tabs or scrolling to different parts of the web page. For example, Google has shown how Gemini can advise on potential changes for food limits when viewing the recipe blog. Gemini in the browser is also useful when shopping, as it can answer specific questions about products or capture reviews.

To get started, Gemini can only answer questions about the same open tab, but the company plans to add multi-tab capabilities in the future update. This allows Assistant to synthesize information in multiple open tabs and answer more complex questions. Gemini Gemini in Chrome has direct capabilities, for anyone who conversations more comfortably using their throat with the assistant. The company has also teased the future update that allows Gemini to actually scroll through web pages, as asking to go to a certain stage in a recipe. (Most importantly, all this is separated from Google’s other web browsing AI, Project MarinerThis is still a research model.)

Gemini, which begins with AI Pro and AI Ultra subscribers in the United States today, has started going to Chrome users in Mac and Windows today. The company does not suggest whether it plans to bring similar features to Chromebooks or Chrome’s mobile app.
