Farmers get a fair price guarantee
Naidu has instructed the authorities to guarantee a fair price for the farmers, expressing concern about the huge fall of tobacco prices. Apart from this, stop such an act that can harm the government’s reputation. The CM has made it clear that HD Burley Type tobacco companies should buy Rs 12,500 per quintal on a quality basis. He urged GPI and ITC to start buying immediately.

Instructions to monitor tobacco collection

He said he was asked to prepare a price-range plan for production development from Mondelage to agriculture and requires a special cocoa policy for oil palm. Naidu has instructed the Agricultural Marketing Department to prepare a list of chilli farmers who have sold their products through market committees and make a list of chilli farmers who have suffered losses due to low prices.
