House leaders and opposition wants to accelerate PEC that limits STF monochratic decisions | Method

Members of the House of Representatives of former President Zair Bolsonoro (PL) defended the progress of the Constitution (PEC) to limit monochratic decisions in the Supreme Federal Court (STF). This initiative is a reaction to the court’s decision to continue the criminal actions against Deputy Alexandre Ramagam (PL-RJ) contrary to the decision of the Legislative Assembly. It is up to Mayor, Hugo Mota (Republicans-PB) to predict whether the PEC will continue.

The proposal is considered lightweight compared to the “Anti-STF package” approved by the Constitution and the “Anti-STF package” last year, and the debate can move without representing the arm wrestling between the powers. Other proposals are considered to be voting on the PEC aimed at creating a special forum and creating a new constitutional amendment to strengthen parliamentary rights by ensuring the immunity of the National Congress members. However, the first is not widely discussed among the leaders of the house, and the second has not even finalized its text.
