Archaeological Museum on the secrets of the Mago people for young students in Fuentura
More than 300 pupils of 3 of ESO actually participated in this activity, which will continue in the archaeological museum during May and June
The third students from IES Jandía and Ies Purto Cabras Rafael Brenz visited the archaeological Fuerteventura Museum this week, as part of the activities program to celebrate the International Museum Day.
The student participated in archaeologists in educational activity for one day. Discovering the secrets of Majo People, which is a designed experience to bring the legacy of the first settlers to the island through workshops and participatory activities.
The head of the Cabildo de Fuerteventura team, Lola García, and the Minister of Culture, Cultural Heritage and Innovation at Cabildo de Fuerteventura, Rayco León, the purpose of the project, which does not exceed new generations to Heritage of Fuertevala, promoting respect and celebration. During the day, the student had the opportunity to discover the basic aspects of the island’s past, focusing on the culture of the Mago people and its close relationship with our valuable natural environment.
This activity is also part of the “TERTAGE Teachs” program, which has already passed more than 300 third students of Fuertevevent, which will continue in the activity during May and June, funded by the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage.
Special programming for the International Museum Day
The Fuerteventura Museum in Fuerteventura extends celebration of the International Museum Day with a broad program for educational, cultural and family activities throughout the week. This afternoon, May 14, at 7:00 pm, archaeology will be opened in the exhibition. Photography Luis Diego Koskoy, a sample dedicated to the shape that was the director of the Tennervi Archaeological Museum. The exhibition, organized by the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage and the Canary Institute for Cultural Development, includes photographs, audio optics and 3D elements.
At 7.30 pm, it was a new session of the cultural session between the shows, entitled “Survivors and the Culture of Ajdad”, which will participate in local experts such as Vicente Hernández, Antonio Cabrara, Silverio López and Guillermina Barrios, who will participate in the traditions and start cultural memory.
For his part, the archaeologist Jonathan Santana, a professor at the University of Las Palace de Gran Canaria, will present a conference on Friday, May 16th at 7:30 pm, on the new results in archaeology in Fuintura and the archipelago, within the framework of the ISOCAN scientific project.
On the same day, at 8:30 pm, the theatrical road will be held “The Life Museum”, which targets the general public. The activity will be repeated on Saturday, May 17 at 12:00, and this time directed to the family’s audience. The proposal to the travel participants leads to the museum’s rooms guided by characters such as TENAIDA, Alfonso Martín Fajardo and Margui’s biologist.
In addition, on Saturday 17 at 11:00, family antiquities workshops will be taught, aimed at enhancing the original Fuerteventura past in a fun way.
