In recent years, Saleh al -Kharashe said that the energy sector has seen special changes in the fields of energy storage techniques, renewable energy and green hydrogen, which demands the growth of the national strategy to retain speed with these rapid advances.
When Al -Kharashe was opened yesterday, the work of the first National Workshop to update the Energy Department Strategy for 2025 – 2035, with representatives of the Ministries of Amman, with the widespread participation of the private sector and the local and international partners.
Al -Kharabhshe pointed out that the previous strategy was targeting the contribution of renewable energy by 2030, which is expected to be achieved early in the early 2027-2028 years, with a trigger to continue to raise future interests.
Previously, a proof of “al -Qad” is said to be renewing the strategy of the Energy Department in Jordan (2020 – 2030), in the cooperation of the consultant appointed for this purpose, cooperating with all parties in this field. “
In addition, Al -Kharashey pointed out that the new strategy takes into account important advances, especially by the National Petroleum Company, invented a new level of natural gas, which will contribute to the creation of the Jordanian Energy Map in the next decade.
He emphasized the importance of the participation approach to manufacturing, and all partners from public and private sectors contribute to the creation of a comprehensive strategy that reflects the aspirations of various parties, not just technical features.
Al -Kharasa’s explanation that the current challenges in the energy industry will become real opportunities, which, in accordance with the view of economic modernization in the kingdom, becomes an essential pillar to achieve sustainable economic growth.
He concluded his speech by emphasizing that the new strategy would contribute to supporting economic growth, providing employment, increasing exports and enhancement of comprehensive growth.
