There is no benefit in traditional agriculture
Farmer Arjun Paswan said that he had earlier traditional farming. Used to produce rice and wheat crops. There is no benefit in this. He also has limited resources. There is no more land. However, he decided to cultivate mushrooms by getting rid of traditional farming. Arjun said he had cultivated oyster mushrooms at the beginning. Today, he is also growing the button mushrooms.
Oyster mushroom cultivation
Arjun said the oyster mushroom crop was ready for a month. It can be raised in a room. Oyster mushroom cultivation is easy and low cost. It can be grown with rice grass, wheat grass, peanuts, mustard, sunflower flowers and soybean skins, he said.
The grass is cut and filled in a PP bag and placed cold and moist. Remember that there should be a place to get the appropriate air, applying oyster mushrooms. Arjun said the cost of oyster mushrooms was low, which was also ready in a short time. The total cost of 1 kg of oyster mushrooms is Rs 15 to 20, with the price of Rs 150 to Rs 200. In this view, producing oyster mushrooms is a good choice for farmers.
Button mushroom cultivation
Arjun says the button mushroom cultivation is a little more time and difficult than oyster mushrooms. Arjun said the cold weather was good for the cultivation of button mushrooms. It should be sown between October and March.
It takes 1 month to cultivate compost. After this, it takes 10 days to become micylum after adding the seeds. Mushroom seeds should be planted by laying a 6-8-inch thick layer in a tough place in the room. After this, it is covered with fully prepared compost. This mushroom is ready in 50 to 60 days.
In hundreds of bags of mushroom production
Farmer Arjun Paswan said he is currently producing mushrooms in hundreds of bags. There is a lot of demand for their crop, it is sold from the field.
The price of 1 kg button mushrooms ranges from Rs 25 to 30 rupees, but a kilo button in the market gets Rs 70 to 80 rupees. He granted up to 50 percent of the government to cultivate mushrooms. Arjun advises other farmer brothers to cultivate mushrooms. He said that any farmer or any farmer can make a lot of benefits.
