The minister is in talks with the investment in the lithium and batteries of byd in the country
Mines and Fuel Minister Alexander Silvira met with the Vice President this Sunday Baid In Latin America, Oscar Su, Battery Production in Brazil and Chinese Company in Lithium Prison. The meeting will be held between the United States Donald Trump and China DG Jinping’s trade and tariff war.
Silvira is in Shenzen to deal with cooperation Brazilian electric sector. After meeting with the electric car producer byd, Chinese representatives expressed their intention to expand their performance in Brazil, expanding the exploitation of strategic ores and the production of batteries in the country.
“The goal is to increase the size of dealers in Brazil, and is very interesting: they have committed a commitment to invest in the Brazilian mineral chain. If they can make a partner with national institutions in the lithium mining field, they will make a battery product chain in Brazil.”
The minister’s visit to China is also a preparatory for President Louis Inacio Lula Da Silva’s tour, scheduled next month. According to Silvira, the purpose of signing Lula on the memorandum that understands the partnership for battery production.
In addition to the production of electric cars, byd is also a world leader in battery power storage systems. The minister said that China’s hunger was shown to invest in Brazil, especially in the second part of this year, the government should take the first auction of power storage batteries.
